GB WhatsApp DND Mode – Silence Notifications on Android

DND Mode (Do Not Disturb) in GB WhatsApp silences all notifications from the app without turning off your phone or activating the system-wide DND setting. When DND mode is enabled, you will not see message previews, notification sounds, or vibration alerts from GB WhatsApp.

This is useful during meetings, study sessions, or when you want to use your phone without being distracted by incoming messages while still being available to send messages manually when needed.

The most effective setup for business or support accounts is to combine DND mode with GB WhatsApp Auto Reply. When DND is active and auto-reply is enabled, incoming messages are silenced but senders still receive an automated acknowledgment, managing their expectations while you remain uninterrupted.

For example, a small business can enable DND + auto-reply outside business hours, so customers receive an immediate "We will reply during business hours" message without the owner being disturbed by notifications at night.

DND mode can cause you to miss time-sensitive messages if you forget to disable it. To avoid this, enable the Schedule option so DND automatically turns off at a set time, such as 8 AM on weekdays. Starred contacts can also be set to override DND in case of urgent messages.

Before enabling DND for extended periods, check with close contacts about any time-sensitive communications. DND is most effective when combined with a predictable schedule and a clear auto-reply message.

DND mode itself does not carry any ban risk—it is a notification control feature with no impact on WhatsApp's server communication patterns. However, combining DND with aggressive auto-reply or bulk message sending at the end of the DND period can create sudden burst traffic that triggers detection.

Will DND mode prevent me from sending messages? No. You can still open GB WhatsApp and send messages manually while DND is active. DND only affects incoming notification behavior.

Can I set DND to activate automatically? Yes. Use the Schedule option under DND settings to set daily start and end times. DND will activate and deactivate automatically on your chosen schedule.

Does DND mode hide my online status? No. DND mode only silences notifications. It does not hide your online status or last seen. Use Ghost Mode if you also want to hide those.
